    CheckdMedia is looking for a Content Editor to be the lead source of content for our brand websites.

    Job Purpose

    CheckdMedia is looking for a Content Editor to assist in the development of one of the UK’s fastest-growing digital betting brands. The successful applicant will work as the lead source of content on our brand websites. This will involve sourcing external journalists with an interest in growing their online portfolios and managing content produced to ensure a high standard is maintained. The candidate will work closely with other teams in the business such as the social media and SEO team in order to maximise results and growth.

    We are looking for an individual with a strong understanding of the content our betting audience will best engage with. From expert previews, tips and statistical analysis to informative pages optimised for organic traffic acquisition. The ability to understand analytics and use the insight provided to adapt and grow our audience is another important aspect of the role.

    The role will require some weekend and out-of-hours work, and the successful applicant will need to have a great work ethic and the desire to collaborate effectively as part of a team to deliver success.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage onboarding of external content writers ensuring content is produced to a high standard
    • Produce a range of content for primarily but not limited to our football brands
    • Deliver on KPIs which include the growth of cross-platform audience and promotional revenues
    • Write and update on-site content while adhering to SEO best practices
    • Identify and create content strands which will work both organically and on social media platforms
    • Stay on top of the bookmaker offers & promotions onsite making sure pages are compliant (training provided)
    • Use analytics to understand which content should be produced in order to grow audience

    Skills & Knowledge ·

    • A sports journalism qualification and/or experience in sports journalism
    • Strong knowledge of football and of sports betting
    • Strong writing and production skills including a keen eye for detail
    • Experience in using Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to promote content
    • Working knowledge of analytical tools such as Google Analytics
    • A solid understanding of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
    • Understand what type of content does (and does not) resonate among football punters
