    CheckdMedia is seeking a dedicated and motivated Undergraduate / Postgraduate

    CheckdMedia is seeking a talented, experienced and motivated undergraduate to join our vibrant team as part of a short-term university placement.

    The successful student will have exceptional writing skills, strong-knowledge across a wide range of sports and high levels of competency over multiple social platforms and/or experience in any of the courses below:


    Creative Media

    Sports Journalism

    Digital Journalism

    Games Design

    Documentary Making

    Media Studies

    Graphic Design (motion graphics experience)

    Creative and Digital Media Multimedia studies

    Digital Media and Communications

    Multimedia Journalism

    Placement Specifications:

    Duration: 6-weeks to 8-weeks. Students are able to work 1-2 days a week please specify availability in the application.

    Payment: National Minimum Wage

    Location: 60 Fountain Street, Manchester, M2 2FE

    Working Hours: 8-4 or 9-5 working hours

    Additional Information:

    CheckdMedia expects placement students to apply their own experience, however as a company we appreciate the importance of industry learnings for students and will provide invaluable lessons and training with opportunity for students to apply for a full-time position once graduated.

    Key Responsibilities ·

    • Take pride in your work and perform to the best of your abilities at all times
    • Continually monitor competitor behaviour and communicate any interesting findings to Head of Social
    • Be able to work across multiple social media platforms
    • Ensure everything being posted and is ‘on-brand’ and in line with the specified tone of voice
    • Create engaging concepts and content ideas
    • Constantly monitor analytics/insights across all social platforms
    • Work closely with the commercial team to carry out strategies and campaigns to ensure the success of those deals is maximised
    • Have your finger on the pulse of all social media platforms and relay any relevant news to the Head of Social
    • Always be on the lookout for new ideas and innovations

    Skills & Knowledge

    • Excellent knowledge of current sporting affairs Knowledge and understanding of the differences across social platforms to allow for seamless transition between Twitter, Facebook & Instagram
    • Ability to create high quality original content on Photoshop
    • Ability to edit video content (desired, not required)
    • Extreme attention to detail
    • Exceptional written skills; spelling, grammar & punctuation, in order to convey professionalism to followers as well as current and potential partners
    • Ability to work efficiently within a small team
    • A willingness to learn new skills and constantly improve your own value within the company
